PRIVACY POLICY
Effective 6 July 2026 · Applies to the Dungeon Runner mobile app
THE SHORT VERSION
- Location is used only while you track a run you started, to measure distance and draw your route. It is never used in the background otherwise, never sold, and never attached to advertising.
- You can play without creating an account. Linking an email is optional.
- Ads are served by Google AdMob; purchases are processed by the app stores via RevenueCat. We never see your payment details.
- Email us and we will delete everything we hold about you.
WHAT WE COLLECT
- Runs — start/end time, duration, distance, and a simplified GPS route for runs you record. Stored so your progress and history work across devices.
- Account — an anonymous account id is created on first launch. If you choose to link an email address, we store that too so you can recover your account.
- Game state — your heroes, items, gold, potions, cosmetics and dungeon progress.
- Purchases — subscription status is managed by RevenueCat and the relevant app store. We receive entitlement status (e.g. "Pro: active"), not card details.
- Advertising — the free version shows ads via Google AdMob, which may use your device's advertising identifier subject to your consent choices (App Tracking Transparency on iOS, the consent prompt in the EEA/UK). We do not pass location to ad networks.
WHAT WE DON'T DO
- No selling of personal data.
- No background location tracking outside an active run.
- No data collection from children — the app is not directed at children under 13.
ANALYTICS
We use PostHog (hosted in the EU) to understand how the app is used — pseudonymous gameplay events such as "run finished" or "dungeon cleared", tied to your random account ID. No location traces, no health data and no advertising identifiers are sent to PostHog.
We also use PostHog on this website (dungeonrunnerrpg.webmour.co.uk) to count page views, where visitors came from, and which store link they tap — so we can see how people find Dungeon Runner. No ad identifiers, no cross-site tracking, and no tracking cookies (a small identifier is kept in your browser's local storage only).
WHERE DATA LIVES
Game and run data are stored with Supabase (Postgres, hosted in the EU). Run recording works offline; data syncs when you're back online.
YOUR CHOICES
- Location — deny or revoke the permission at any time in system settings; the rest of the game keeps working.
- Ad personalisation — decline the ATT prompt (iOS) or the consent dialog (EEA/UK) for non-personalised ads, or go Pro for no ads at all.
- Deletion — email george.anthony.seymour@gmail.com from your linked address (or include your account id from Settings) and we will delete your account and data within 30 days.
CHANGES
If this policy changes materially we will update this page and note it in the app's release notes. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
